Our Mission
The Cornell Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers is committed to bringing about a closer relationship between students, professors, and corporations. We follow the belief that close interactions lead to active interests and increased academic commitment. To that end, we offer a forum for corporations and organizations to interact with and inspire Cornell students. Furthermore, we are committed to ensuring that both sides benefit from it.
Organizations committed to generating interest among electrical and computer engineering students and inspiring the next generation of engineers are strongly encouraged to apply.

Suggestions
Typically, the best times for information sessions are late afternoons (4:30-6 PM) or evenings (7-9 PM). You are encouraged to state their interest and schedule a session at least 3 weeks in advance to provide adequate preparation time and optimal attendance.
Fun, up-beat, non-traditional info sessions are usually the best at attracting the desired audience. Some ideas include, but are not limited to:
- Caffeine Theme - Root beer floats or an assortment of coffee (morning/afternoon) for that extra kick in between classes.
- Pizza Theme - Always a good idea with college students. We offer a wide selection of pizzas from Papa Johns, Mother Teresa's, and more!
- Mini Workshop - Hold an interview workshop or professional development session. This is always a big draw, especially with seniors seeking full time jobs.
- Sponsor a Mini-Project - Give students a small project to work on for a short time. Give out prizes to advertise your company and provide incentive to particpate.
- Circuit Bashing Day - Held annually. Can give out free items or prizes. Invite students to take a break from work and take out their "anger" on ECE...pinatas, of course. Past ECE pinatas include resistors, MSI chips, computers, and many more!
- Corporate Theme - Pick a theme that goes along with your corporate image! If you need any help, we'd be more than glad to provide assistance.
If you have your own idea or if you want clarification on any of the bullets above, please let us know! We'll be more than happy to work with you to set it up.
